How to get a car loan with bad credit?

my mom agreed to help me get a car loan in her name in order to get a car for school. since im only 17 the loan would just be in my name because im not old enough. the only thing is i only have about $500 saved and on top of that her credit is horrible? does anyone have any advice on how we could get a car in this situation????
