How do I get money to fix my car when I am broke?

I live in a very hot state and am older so I can't handle the heat. My ac is out on my car and I cannot afford to get it fixed. My credit is bad so I can't buy a new car. What can I do?

Local colleges will sometimes fix you car for free if they have a mechanics program they will use your car to show students how to fix the issue with your car.
