How do you fix a leak in your car's AC?

Car has a leak either coming from one of the steel pipes or wall going towards (==||===<) the driver/passenger vents.

Not exactly sure if its one of the pipes or just the hole. The pipes go from underneath the hood towards the vents through a small hole. Cold air can be felt going out towards the engine from the hole (>||>==<).

If its the pipe what can I use to repair it?

What can I do to block or close the hole up (cement, glue, what type of adhesive?)?

Sounds like your missing the rubber piece that's seals around the lines going into the evaporator box. Your not loosing freon but the air that the blower fan is blowing through the evap and out the vents. See if there is less air leaking out with the fan on lowest setting . If that's the case you can get some sticky black a/c tape from the parts house to seal it up.

you can take a piece of thin foam and make seal for it,but if it isn't done right it may cause more problems,as long as its not running inside the vehicle it wont hurt nothing if it does run in and get under the carpet it will cause it to sour and smell bad,and eventually rot the floor board out on it,id make a seal for it and seal it off, some of those came with a foam wrap on then that might have came off, there's a way to cure that problem though, see if its getting under the inside of the carpet ,if it isn't i wouldn't worry too much about it,good luck.

I believe the tubes you are referring to are the A/C low and high pressure lines. one is cold and one is hot. The hole should be left alone as it is the drain for the condensate that builds up in the A/C unit. Small leaks won't hurt a thing as long as the A/C is OK.
