My AC isn't working in my car. What could be the problem and how much would it cost to fix it?

if it's still blowing just not cold, you need to have the freon recharged.  Not that big of a deal.

It might not be that the AC isn't working. It might just need freon to make it blow cold air. Or it could be the AC compressor, which depending on the type of car, it could be expensive. You could buy a used one at a junk/ salvage yard. You should check the froen first, it's only about $6-7.00. much cheaper than an AC.

I had this happen to my car a few years back, not exactly sure what problem was, but it cost me $300.00 to repair, worked fine after that.

There could be a number of things wrong, from a simple fuse, switch, or you lost your charge.  You need to have it checked out by a quality shop for your repair estimate.  The inspection may cast as much as $75.  With out inspecting it, you  just can not tell what is wrong.

could cost any where from $ 5.99 to several hundred dollars

could be as simple as  a can of Freon to major over hall

your best bet is to take it to a service center an get an easement    good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

If the car is past its warrenty forget and wind down the windows. They cost a lot to fix and it may go out in a year max
